Dear Karen, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unending support with my application process. Your generosity of time and skilled guidance propelled me towards my dream school, filling me with a new sense of hope and excitement about my future. Dana (University of Berkeley School of Social Work).
Hi Karen! You probably already heard from mom but I just wanted to let you know I got in to Emory! I am so so happy about how things worked out, and you helped a ton along the way. I probably wouldn’t have been able to do it without you so thanks so much again. You’re awesome!
Dear Karen, It was/ is absolutely my pleasure to recommend you!! [ ] is a very dear friend of mine and I told her, how much Thom and I both enjoyed working with you and how fabulous you were in guiding us through this process!! We were overwhelmed when we met you and you took charge and helped Thom achieve his dream of going to GW! Thank you again Karen for being so wonderful to Thom and me. You made such a positive impact in our lives!! My best, Lori
Karen, Waking up this morning to a report on NPR about college “decision day”, I was reminded of hearing this same report a year ago thinking how hard the next year was going to be. With the benefit of looking back, I know how “easy” the process was for us because of your help and guidance along the way. THANK YOU! Sure the college process can be daunting but with your help and guidance, I genuinely feel the process was painless. It was great to see Jonathan work with you through the process and take on the personal responsibility of his decision. Regards, Gary
Hi Karen! I have made a decision, I will be attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in the fall! I just sent my deposit in last week so it is official!! …I am so excited and I want to thank you so much for all of your help. It would not have been possible without you and I truly cannot thank you enough! Best, Jill
Karen, I truly can’t thank you enough for working with [ ] and guiding him through the college application process. It was very calming and reassuring to me knowing that you were keeping him on track with deadlines and making sure his submissions were up to par with his ability and what they should be. I also appreciate your patience with me during the proofing of his resume. We couldn’t be more pleased with his acceptance to Northwestern. Thank you for all you did you all of us. Fondly, Jan
Hi Karen, I wanted to send a quick note to thank you for the confidence you instilled in [ ] yesterday. She came home feeling very good about her scores and resume… She was appreciative of your optimism and your acknowledgement that she has a real shot at a top college, something [ ] has worked so hard for. Many thanks and hope to see you soon, Tracy
Hi Karen, You were a wonderful guide to [ ] and I wanted you to know that she is incredibly happy at Wake Forest! She had so many wonderful colleges to choose from, so thank you for helping her through that entire process. It was a terrific experience and we will be talking with you again in a couple of years when it’s [ ] turn! And hopefully you will hear from a few friends of ours, we certainly will recommend you. Carole
My recent experience with your services exceeded our expectations. You went above and beyond what we “hired” you to do to ensure that [ ] was presenting herself to the colleges in the very best light. [ ] enjoyed her meetings with you and often commented on how much you really “care” about her. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with other parents to elaborate on all ways you made this college application process a pleasure! Karen, your enthusiastic approach to this “stressful” process is wonderfully refreshing and your ability and willingness to help the kids in every way possible is inspiring. Sarah
Dear Mrs Gerard, I am writing to thank you for the invaluable assistance you provided me during my college search process. I am especially thankful for all those last minute revisions you provided, when I was really feeling stressed. To date I have gotten in to UCONN and American University, and have been accepted into the honors program at both. Furthermore, at UCONN I received a scholarship totaling $14,000 over four years and the Presidential Scholarship from America, which is worth $27,000 a year. I am sure that your help and input was the critical reason I was able to accomplish this. I will keep you informed as I hear back from other schools. Sincerely, Russ
Karen, [ ] visited both GW and AU last week and absolutely fell in love with AU. He already put in his deposit and I can’t tell you how happy he is. The Honors overnight was a huge success. After the information session at GW, he decided that they had nothing more to offer than AU and decided against a tour. I would like to add my thanks to [ ] for making his process so positive. [ ] really enjoyed working with you and we all feel your help was invaluable. I look forward to introducing you to [ ] in another year when he will be a junior. Have a wonderful summer and thanks again. Gina
Dear Karen, I just wanted to take a minute out to thank you for what you did for my son. As a single dad, 15000 miles away, I must have bombarded you with more calls at more odd hours, and taxed your patience, than most local parents. But your professionalism; your advice on presenting the varied background of my child in the right, confident manner; your coaching and encouragement in areas of deportment, presentation; your gentle guidance on essay writing; realistic interview mockups; the encouragement of his community activities and extra curricular involvement early in the process… and much more.. all contributed to a successful and exactly the desired result with great satisfaction for all concerned. Yours sincerely, Raj, Bangkok, Thailand.
Dear Mrs. Gerard, It’s hard to believe that I am done with my collegiate career, when it only seems like yesterday when I was stressing out to you about SAT’s, essays and just the idea of not finding the right school. Four years later I want to thank you for all your support and kind thoughts over the years. I wouldn’t have made it this far without you. Maggie
Hey Mrs. Gerard, I wouldn’t be here today without you. You have helped me so much through the years and made a really big impact on my life. I am so ecstatic to be living in this city and going to this amazing school. It is even better than I imagined and it is really because of you that I was able to get here. I was going through a very stressful time while I was trying to transfer here, I know I would have been overwhelmed and lost if you weren’t there to rationalize things for me and keep me going. If it weren’t for you, I would surely be enduring another mediocre semester at[ ], doing the same dull things and missing out on the experiences that I crave. I have only been out here for about 2 weeks and I have barely cracked the tip of the iceberg on this city. There is so much to see and to do, I don’t think I will ever be bored again. JF
Thanks Karen, [ ] is a friend and a colleague and when she spoke to me about seeking some help I didn’t have to think twice about suggesting your services. You were extremely helpful in guiding [ ] through all the many facets of the college selection process and both [ ] and I are grateful for your insight and diligence to keep [ ] on track. John
THANK YOU MS. GERARD FOR ALLLLLLLLL YOUR HELP… I AM A HAPPY CAMPER TODAY!!!!
Karen, Our thanks to you — the list you compiled for [ ]was “dead on” and the results speak to it… Thanks again. Holly
Karen, We are very grateful to you for all your thoughtfulness and help in guiding our kids through the whole college “thing.” It was great that they had an adult (especially someone as experienced as you) to talk to about this very fraught subject besides us.
Karen – Yet again, thank you for all of your help with [ ] and us. We cannot imagine that we would have survived this process with out you.
Karen, You have been so terrific with all your help. I truly do not know what I would have done without you. Please put me on your reference list. [ ]
Karen, We took [ ] to Vanderbilt this weekend and she is SO happy!!! So far she feels like it is the perfect school for her. I just wanted to thank you again for all you did for [ ]. She feels like you helped her so much in getting into Vanderbilt, I’ve given your name out to a few people over the summer, so hopefully that will get you some more kids. [ ] is a freshman this year, but I am sure we will be calling you in the future. Thanks again. Nancy
Karen, I so appreciate your updates! [ ] came home VERY positive about YOU and all you got done together. He was felling really down about himself because he is really overwhelmed with all the pieces of his life that he’s trying to keep together. He knows that he only has a few months to accomplish a LOT of different things and he kind of lost it this afternoon. I really thank you for being so kind and gentle with him. You helped him with his college stuff but even more importantly with his emotional state. This means everything to both of us. Thank You! Carolyn
Thank YOU! We are very happy that you sent us the postcard about your services way back when!!! We have been very happy. You have been professional, supportive and most importantly, a good counselor for [ ]! It has been a stress-free process for us all, and under your guidance, [ ] has really focused on this next important phase of his life. Thanks for your help and we will let you know wher he decides! Oh, and keep your calendar open for [ ]!!! Please continue to use us as a reference… We’ll be in touch, Sue
Thank you for all your help. She and we had a very positive experience with you and would be very happy to recommend you to others. Please don’t hesitate to call or e-mail about anything in the future. Warmly, Barbara
Hi Karen, [ ] selected Widener because he really liked the football coach and the tough program he implied that he ran. He felt that he needed that type of discipline to help him in school. [ ] selected Drexel because of its downtown big city location. Both kids are glad they’ll be in the same city area and, also, glad they’ll be in the same city as Grandma (who is thrilled). It was a long process and your help was truly appreciated. Sally
Hi Karen, [ ] is very happy today. I want to thank you for all your help. I believe [ ] is going to try dorm life. I agree with you it will be better. I am very impressed with the way [ ] has responded. They appear to be very organized and have their act together. We would not have found them without you. Thanks again.
Hi Karen, We thank you for your support and feel your direction on the resume really made an impact on [ ] success. The $20,000 Scholarship money certainly more than pays for your fee! Since this was our first time we really appreciated your guidance. We will speak with you again in 4 years when [ ] our 13 year old is ready. Best Regards, [ ].
Mrs. Gerard, Thank you for all of your help with the college search and application process. I didn’t realize how prestigious it was to be in the Honors College at USC. It actually is a really great program. I am really happy at USC. Christina
Dear Karen, Thank you for presenting [ ] as she deserved to be known and recognized in her resume and for making the process so easy for us, taking all the stress away and so completely empowering [ ] to do what she needed in a most timely fashion such that she did get into her first choice ED and was recognized by RHS with a scholarship. Kathy
